Use the search engine on the homepage to find out if other Swappano members have e-books or music sheets you are looking for. Next sign up and add your own collection to the database. Once you are registered and logged in, you will be able to send a request to other users who have e-books or music sheets you would like to have (tip: be polite).
Of course you do not have to add your whole collection at once. However, we strongly recommend that you add as many items as you can. The more you offer to other Swappano members, the higher your chances of receiving what you want.
You can. The decision whether to send something is up to the Swappano members. Some of them are generous and do share their resources even if you do not have anything that interests them. However, it would be better that you add at least a couple of items to your collection for starters.
In this case we recommend you add the item you are searching for to the requests list. Some of Swappano members may have the e-book or music sheet you want but have not updated their Swappano collection yet. It is also possible that they may not have it now but will get the item you want in the future.
Once you sign up and click on the member’s user name you will have an option to contact that member.
First of all check if your email client is not redirecting emails from Swappano members to your spam folder. If that is not the case, please keep in mind that some Swappano members may be on a vacation or in a place where they do not have an access to the internet. Wait a couple of days and try to contact the user again. But be polite and if the person still does not reply try other Swappano members who also have the e-book or music sheets you want.
At this moment, no. Swappano has started with e-books and music sheets because many people collect them and such files are relatively small and might be easily sent by e-mail. However, if many Swappano members request option to swap other types of files, we will add new categories to the Swappano database. If you have a suggestion what other file types should we include please contact us.
Your e-mail address is safe. It will only be revealed if you decide to contact other members. They will receive your contact requests with your nickname, reply e-mail address and your message.
If you are a member that received a request then your e-mail address will be passed to other members if you reply to their request.
Great! Please do not hesitate and report a bug or add a feature request Swappano Bugtracker.
